As part of our involvement, we’re delighted to be delivering two engaging sessions at the conference:

Research Presentation: Using AI to Unlock Actionable Insights from Student Free-Text Feedback

Presenters:  Nicola Watchman Smith, Teesside University & Joe Mahon, evasys

Universities collect vast volumes of free-text comments from surveys such as the NSS, PTES/PRES and module evaluations. Within these comments lies a wealth of insight – but the scale can overwhelm manual analysis. This session presents a practical case study from Teesside University on harnessing these qualitative datasets using AI.

We’ll demonstrate how the evasys–Student Voice AI partnership can transform raw comments into a powerful source of intelligence by identifying critical themes, emerging trends and areas of concern from PTES data. Beyond PTES, the methodology applies across multiple feedback sources, enabling universities to proactively address challenges, improve outcomes and even identify students at risk. Delegates will come away with a clear view of how advanced analysis can create more responsive institutional practices.
