QAA International Enhancement Conference Online Event 3-5 November 2020
EvaSys is delighted to be supporting the upcoming International Enhancement Conference from QAA Scotland, including delivering a programme session aimed at showcasing the ease of switching from paper to online exams with a real life example.
Running as an online event from 3-5 November 2020, the 5th QAA Scotland International Enhancement Conference is now open for registration.
With keynote speakers including Dr Ben Williamson from University of Edinburgh and Professor Dawn Bennett of Curtin University, the event theme is Building Resilient Learning Communities: Using Evidence to Support Student Success. Billed as an essential event for this new era in higher education, the International Enhancement Conference will feature a modular programme design to allow delegates to create their own bespoke conference schedule and engage with peers through a combination of live sessions and asynchronous papers, toolkits and resources.
The 5th International Enhancement Conference will showcase practice from the QAA’s most recent Enhancement Theme, Evidence for Enhancement: Improving the Student Experience and will explore evidence-based decision making, employability for a changed world and equality, diversity and inclusion within learning communities.
As part of the conference programme, EvaSys will run a session alongside client the Chartered Society for Worker Health Protection (BOHS – The Chartered Society for Worker Health Protection) entitled Digitisting Paper Exams – Quickly and Successfully. This session will detail why and how BOHS pivoted from a reliance on in-person, paper exams to online delivery in just a matter of weeks.
Bruce Johnson, Managing Director at EvaSys, commented: “As a Scottish-based company, we are delighted to be contributing to this QAA Scotland event, where we will be discussing our digital examination and assessment system, EvaExam. We will also be hosting the end-of-conference survey through our evaluation tool, EvaSys. Improving the student experience is integral to our company’s ethos, so it’s great to be part of an event with this enhancement at its heart.”
