The theme, “Navigating Change: Collaboration, Courage and Clarity”, couldn’t have felt more fitting for a sector that continues to evolve at pace. Across every conversation and session, one thing was clear, the higher education community is united by its commitment to understanding students better, improving the experience and making evidence-based decisions that lead to lasting impact.
For evasys, being part of ARC 2025 was more than just exhibiting, it was about joining that shared mission of listening and learning.
A Sector Full of Energy and Ideas
From the opening plenary with Professor Evelyn Welch to the breakout sessions on digital futures, service excellence and student engagement, through to the closing session with Alistair Jarvis CBE, the atmosphere in Bristol was alive with innovation.
Delegates were open, curious and reflective, asking exactly the right questions:
These are the same questions that drive our work at evasys, helping universities translate feedback into meaningful, actionable change.
Collaboration at the Heart of Progress
It was brilliant to see so many familiar faces from across the sector, registrars, quality leads, data experts and student experience professionals, all coming together to share practice and learn from each other.
We were especially inspired by the sessions that explored how collaboration between professional services, academics and students can unlock new ways of working. That collaborative spirit mirrors the approach we take at evasys every day, working in partnership with institutions to ensure that feedback isn’t just collected, but connected to decision-making and improvement.

Digital Transformation with a Human Touch
Digital transformation was another major theme, and rightly so. Whether in student record systems, data analytics or assessment, universities are making bold moves towards smarter, more integrated solutions.
What resonated most, however, was the shared recognition that technology only truly works when it’s human-centred. Data must always lead to dialogue, and insight must always drive empathy.
That’s where evasys fits in: empowering universities to understand student sentiment, surface patterns in open comments using AI and act compassionately on what the data tells them. Because digital transformation is as much about people as platforms.
Gratitude and Connection
A huge thank-you to the Academic Registrars Council and the organising committee for such a warm, thoughtful and well-run conference. From the energy in the breakout rooms to the laughter over dinner aboard the SS Great Britain, every part of the event reflected the very best of the higher education community, collaborative, committed and compassionate.
It was wonderful to reconnect with so many friends and colleagues, and to meet new partners who share our belief that feedback, when used wisely, is the foundation of quality and care.
Collaboration, Courage and Clarity
As we left Bristol, the message was clear: higher education is facing unprecedented challenges, but it’s also full of creativity, courage and optimism.
At evasys, we’re proud to be working alongside so many institutions leading that change:
ARC 2025 reminded us all that listening isn’t passive, it’s powerful. And when we listen together, we lead together.
Here’s to collaboration, courage and clarity, and to another year of learning from the voices that matter most.
