Teaching and Learning Specialist Dr Helena Lim Joins evasys as Head of Opportunities

Leading provider of evaluation and survey solutions, evasys, today announced the appointment of Dr Helena Lim as the company’s Head of Opportunities.

In the newly created role, Helena will be responsible for engaging with prospective and new evasys customers to fully understand institutional requirements and explore the opportunities of module evaluation for students, academics and university leaders.

With more than twenty-five years of experience working in UK higher education, Helena has held senior roles at Southampton Solent University and the Higher Education Academy (now Advance HE), and is the founder of the UK and Ireland Higher Education Institutional Research (HEIR) Network.  She held Honorary Fellowships with University of Liverpool and Aberystwyth University, and has lectured at University of Bath, Southampton Solent University and the Open University.

Bruce Johnson, Managing Director at Evasys, said:

“We are extremely fortunate to have attracted an individual with Helena’s outstanding credentials to our team.  One of the differences that evasys offers to clients is our extensive experience of working within the higher education sector and adding Helena’s specialist knowledge around institutional research, surveys, evaluation and the delivery of teaching and learning will further enhance product development and service delivery to our clients.”

Dr Helena Lim Joins EvaSys

Balancing her role as Head of Opportunities at evasys with her existing independent consultancy work, Helena will work with prospective and new evasys clients to ensure they have a full understanding of how to get the most benefit from the survey and evaluation tool, including optimising academic engagement, closing the student feedback loop, centralising survey processes, creating institution-wide efficiencies and, most importantly, enhancing the student experience.

Commenting on her new appointment, Helena said:

“As a teaching and research academic who has published widely in this area, I have extensive experience of working with universities to enhance the student experience, including putting in place institutional approaches to gathering and analysing data.   I also have significant experience of higher education management and have worked with universities in all four nations of the UK to effect change and enhance the student learning journey.   In my work with evasys, I’ll be harnessing all that experience into helping institutions to create a centralised, efficient and data-driven approach to the evaluation and enhancement of module delivery.”
