The Advance HE DVC/PVC Network 2025

21–22 May 2025, London

evasys returns as sponsor for the Advance HE DVC/PVC Network Event 2025

evasys is once again sponsoring the Advance HE DVC/PVC Network on 21–22 May 2025 in London.

Bruce Johnson and Dr Helena Lim will both be there and would be delighted to chat through:

  • how University of Sussex launched surveys within 3 weeks from the decision to appoint evasys, with the response rate to levels 3, 4 and 5 modules more than doubled
  • how University of Cumbria achieved 100% closing the feedback loop for modules, with a clear focus on improved NSS outcomes (particularly question 24)
  • how institutions are using evasys to evidence Educational Gain for submission to TEF
  • the evasys integration with Student Voice AI, using its machine learning to enable rapid analysis of open-text comments

Advance HE DVC PVC Network Event 2025
  • Date: 21–22 May 2025

  • Location: Hallam Conference Centre, Central London

  • Who: DVCs, PVCs and equivalent senior leaders

Bruce and Helena

This event has become a key date in the calendar for senior higher education leaders, offering a valuable opportunity to reflect, reconnect and share learning around the challenges – and opportunities – facing the sector.

If you’re attending, do come and say hello – we’d love to hear how your institution is approaching the evolving landscape of student engagement, and to share how we continue to support our partners in responding to these shifts through evaluation and insights.

A programme focused on leadership and the future of HE

This year’s programme promises to balance personal leadership development with deeper sector-level discussions. It all kicks off with a networking reception at 6pm on 21st May, followed by a keynote address from Dame Carmen Ria Smith, Baroness Smith of Llanfaes, and a hosted dinner – always a great way to ease into the conversations ahead.

On day two, the spotlight turns to some of the most pressing and strategic challenges in higher education leadership, including the role of digital technology in financial sustainability, and how institutions are navigating workforce change in an equitable and effective way.

We’re particularly looking forward to hearing from the fantastic line-up of speakers, including:

  • Professor Shitij Kapur, Vice-Chancellor and President, King’s College London

  • Steve Phillpott-Walsh, Director of People, London South Bank University

  • Louisa Hardman, Programme Director, Advance HE

  • Naina Patel, Former Chief People Officer, University of the Arts London

  • Dr Rachel Maxwell, Principal Advisor, Kortext

The afternoon session is an interactive leadership workshop led by Louisa Hardman, focusing on personal effectiveness, power and influence, and engaging colleagues in meaningful strategic change – timely themes in an increasingly complex HE environment.
